This holiday season, Alex Makes Meals partnered with Nando's to deliver three-course Christmas dinners across Melbourne at three locations: The Youth Projects, Box Hill Community Bake House, and St Mary's House of Welcome in Fitzroy. The initiative aimed to combat food insecurity and create meaningful holiday experiences for vulnerable communities.

The collaboration served more than 450 people across the three events held on December 18th. Beyond providing meals, the dinners offered attendees companionship, dignity, and a sense of belonging during the holiday season.

Nando's contributed their flame-grilled peri-peri chicken and resources, making the celebrations possible. Founder Alex Dekker emphasized that "collaboration can be powerful," noting these gatherings represent more than sustenance—they acknowledge participants' worth and foster community connection.

The organization plans continued expansion of similar programs through future corporate partnerships, focusing on addressing food insecurity in Melbourne. The initiative demonstrates how compassionate collaboration can create tangible community impact.
