Every meal is a moment of dignity
Every meal is prepared using fresh ingredients and optimised for nutritional value (and deliciousness!) We accommodate a variety of dietary needs, and maintain zero food waste in production.
We deliver our meals to a network of charity partners, who distribute them to their communities, alongside the other services they offer.
Through this model, we get meals to the people who need them most, through avenues they already trust.

Every dollar is trackable impact
Since 2020, Alex Makes Meals has grown from 150 meals per week in a home kitchen to 3,000 meals today, with plans to reach 5,000 weekly meals across three Melbourne kitchens by 2025. This 300% annual growth reflects increasing community need and our capacity to meet it with quality, dignity-focused food relief.

Every partnership extends our reach
We partner with 50+ verified organisations across Melbourne, including crisis accommodation services, community health centers, youth support programs, and domestic violence shelters. Each partnership is carefully established to ensure meals reach the most vulnerable community members with dignity and respect.

Every volunteer hour changes lives
Our 80+ active volunteers contribute over 15,000 hours annually, with 40+ corporate teams regularly participating in our kitchen volunteering programs. With a 95% retention rate and 4.9/5 satisfaction score, volunteers consistently return because they see the direct impact of their work.
